Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to life in prison.
The ruling was delivered without Kanu present in court. He had earlier insisted that the judgement in the terrorism case filed against him by the Federal Government would not proceed.
