The Federal High Court in Abuja has found Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), guilty on the first count of the terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government.
According to the court, there was enough proof that Kanu made several broadcasts encouraging violence and killings as part of his push for a separate Biafran state.
Justice James Omotosho, who delivered the ruling, said his decision was based on what he called “uncontested evidence” presented by the prosecution during the trial.
